Sport and leisure products rely on materials that perform consistently under repeated use, providing comfort, protection and support over time. We supply foam and rubber-based components used across a wide range of sport and leisure applications, where material behaviour and longevity are as important as initial performance.
Our approach is based on understanding how materials respond to movement, impact and repeated loading, allowing us to support the development of components that are practical, reliable and suited to real-world use.
Materials We Supply
We supply and convert a range of foam and rubber materials commonly used across sport and leisure applications. Materials are typically selected based on comfort, resilience, compression behaviour and their ability to perform reliably under repeated use.
Foam Materials
Expanded polypropylene foams
Lightweight and resilient foams with excellent recovery after impact. Often specified for applications requiring repeated shock absorption and long-term durability.
Polyethylene foams, including cross-linked grades
Closed-cell foams offering consistent cushioning, good impact resistance and low moisture absorption. Commonly used for padding, protective elements and matting where repeated loading and long service life are required.
Polyurethane foams
Used where softer cushioning and comfort are required. Available in a range of densities to suit different levels of support and energy absorption in sport and fitness applications.
Rubber & Sponge Rubber Materials
- Neoprene sponge rubber
Commonly used in sport and leisure products for its flexibility, comfort and resistance to repeated movement and handling. - EPDM sponge rubber
Used where resilience and resistance to weathering or environmental exposure are required, including outdoor or semi-exposed leisure applications. - Nitrile sponge rubber
Selected where additional resistance to wear, oils or handling conditions is beneficial.
Typical Applications
Protective padding and cushioning
Gym, fitness and training equipment components
Sports matting and flooring elements
Shock and impact absorption
Protective cases and inserts for leisure equipment
Storage and transport protection for sports products

Sustainability & Responsible Material Use
Sustainability is an increasing consideration within sport and leisure product design. Where appropriate, we can support the use of materials that offer long service life, reusability and reduced waste through efficient conversion. Options such as recyclable foam grades, reusable packaging formats and material-efficient designs can be discussed as part of the specification process to help balance performance requirements with environmental considerations.
Custom Conversion Capabilities
We offer a range of material conversion and manufacturing capabilities to support custom sport and leisure components, from early-stage concepts through to repeat production.
Working from drawings, samples or physical product requirements, we support bespoke designs, prototyping and scalable production, helping ensure materials and formats are suited to both performance requirements and end-user experience.
