HVAC systems rely on materials that help manage air movement, temperature, noise and vibration efficiently and reliably. We supply foam and rubber-based components used throughout heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, where consistent performance and accurate fit are essential.
By combining material knowledge with shaped and formed components, we support HVAC solutions that perform effectively once installed. Converting materials into application-specific formats allows sealing, acoustic and insulation elements to integrate cleanly within ductwork, housings and equipment, helping improve performance, installation quality and repeatability.
We supply and convert a range of foam and rubber materials commonly specified for HVAC applications. Materials are selected based on their ability to support thermal performance, acoustic control, sealing effectiveness and vibration reduction within building services environments.
Acoustic & Thermal Control Materials
These materials are used to manage airborne noise, reduce resonance and support thermal efficiency within HVAC systems.
- Open-cell polyurethane acoustic foams
Commonly used for sound absorption within ductwork, enclosures and plant housings to reduce noise transmission. - Melamine foam
A lightweight, open-cell acoustic material frequently specified in HVAC applications, particularly where fire performance and low smoke generation are important considerations. - Polyethylene foams
Closed-cell foams used for thermal insulation, acoustic decoupling and condensation control within ducts and HVAC assemblies.
Sealing & Vibration Isolation Materials
These materials are used to prevent air leakage, isolate vibration and limit the transmission of noise through structures.
- EPDM sponge rubber
- Widely used for HVAC gaskets and seals due to its resistance to ageing, ozone and temperature variation, and its ability to maintain sealing performance under compression.
- Neoprene sponge rubber
- Commonly specified for vibration isolation, noise reduction and sealing in HVAC plant, fans and air handling equipment.
- Closed-cell polyethylene foams, including cross-linked grades
- Used for sealing, spacing and vibration damping where durability, low moisture absorption and consistent compression behaviour are required.

Fire & Safety Considerations
HVAC materials are often required to meet specific fire and safety considerations depending on their location and application within a building. Where required, material selection can take into account reaction-to-fire performance, smoke behaviour and suitability for use within building services environments, with compliance requirements reviewed at the specification stage.
Manufacturing & Custom Conversion Capabilities
We offer a range of material conversion and manufacturing capabilities to support custom HVAC components, from early-stage concepts through to repeat supply.
Working from drawings, specifications or system requirements, we support bespoke components, prototyping and repeat production, helping ensure consistent fit, reliable performance and repeatability across HVAC installations.
