Noise Control and Dampening

Noise control solutions rely on materials that can absorb, dampen or isolate sound effectively within their intended environment. We supply foam and rubber-based components used to manage noise and vibration across a wide range of applications, where controlling sound transmission and resonance is critical.

Our approach focuses on understanding how materials behave when exposed to airborne noise, structure-borne vibration and repeated mechanical energy. By combining material knowledge with practical conversion and shaping, we support noise control solutions that perform reliably in real operating conditions.

Materials We Supply

We supply and convert a range of foam and rubber materials used for noise control and sound management applications. Materials are selected based on whether the requirement is to absorb airborne sound, reduce vibration, or limit the transmission of noise through structures.

Sound Absorption Materials

Materials in this category are primarily used to absorb airborne noise and reduce echo and reverberation within spaces and enclosures.

  • Open-cell polyurethane acoustic foams
Commonly used for acoustic panels, linings and shaped components where sound absorption is required.
  • Melamine foam
A lightweight acoustic foam often specified for industrial and commercial environments, particularly where fire performance and low weight are important.
  • Acoustic foam composites
Multi-layer materials combining absorption and backing layers to improve overall acoustic performance in confined spaces.

Vibration Damping & Noise Isolation Materials

These materials are used to reduce structure-borne noise, isolate vibration and limit the transmission of sound between components or surfaces.

  • Neoprene sponge rubber
Widely used for vibration isolation and noise reduction in machinery, equipment and enclosures.
  • EPDM sponge rubber
Selected where resilience, environmental resistance and consistent performance under compression are required.
  • Closed-cell polyethylene foams
Used for vibration damping, decoupling and impact reduction where durability and consistency are important.

Shaped & Formed Acoustic Components

Effective noise control often depends as much on shape and geometry as it does on material choice. We support the manufacture of shaped acoustic components, including profiled foams, pads, blocks and contoured inserts, designed to improve sound absorption, manage airflow or reduce resonance within enclosed spaces.

By converting materials into application-specific shapes, it is often possible to improve acoustic performance while optimising space, weight and installation.
