Electronics

We supply and convert a range of technical foam, sponge rubber and elastomeric materials commonly used in electronic and electrical applications. Materials are selected based on component sensitivity, environmental exposure, compression behaviour and service life.

Where required, we can supply sponge, rubber and foam materials that conform to recognised industry standards, including UL94 flame-retardancy ratings and ESD-safe material grades.

Materials We Supply

We supply and convert a range of technical foam, sponge rubber and elastomeric materials commonly specified for electronic and electrical applications. Material selection is driven by component sensitivity, environmental exposure, compression behaviour and long-term performance requirements.

Foam

We work with several foam types widely used in electronics for protection, insulation and vibration control, including:

  • Polyurethane (PU) foams
Used for cushioning and shock absorption where protection of sensitive components is required. Available in a range of densities to suit different load and energy-absorption requirements.
  • Polyethylene (PE) foams, including cross-linked grades
Closed-cell foams offering low moisture absorption, good chemical resistance and dimensional stability. Commonly used for insulating pads, spacers and enclosure gaskets.
  • EVA foams
Flexible, resilient foams with good compression recovery, often selected for light sealing, vibration damping and protective padding.
  • Silicone foams
High-performance materials suited to elevated temperature environments and applications requiring long-term stability. Frequently specified for sealing and protection in power electronics, LED assemblies and demanding operating conditions.

Sponge Rubber

We also supply a range of sponge rubber and elastomeric materials commonly used for sealing and environmental protection within electronic assemblies, including:

  • EPDM sponge rubber
Widely used for enclosure gaskets and seals due to its resistance to weathering, ozone and moisture.
  • Neoprene sponge rubber
Selected where improved oil resistance and mechanical durability are required, often in industrial or control system environments.
  • Nitrile sponge rubber
Used in applications exposed to oils or greases, providing reliable sealing performance under compression.

Compliance & Material Standards

Where required, we can supply materials that conform to recognised industry standards, including UL94 flame-retardant grades and ESD-safe materials for the protection of sensitive electronic components. Compliance requirements are reviewed at the specification stage to ensure materials are suitable for the intended application and operating environment.
